Conceptual impressions surrounding this post are yet to be substantiated, corroborated, confirmed or woven into a larger argument, context or network.
I believe the field of design metaphysics is subconsciously apparent and unwittingly revealed in many of the investigative efforts that create and give rise to the scientific paradigm. I believe certain design "attributes" are symbolically veiled in the form of perception and observation. In reference to pursuing this supposition I've pointed out and commented upon certain situations, events and revelations resulting from these investigations. In turn, I hope to uncover the intimate relationship between the scientific method and the field of design metaphysics.
What is the quantum field of virtual potential and probability (QFVPP)?
The quantum field of virtual potential and probability is a virtual field of energy, light and information made conscious, aware and apparent by means of symbolic representation (design). The QFVPP is characterized in the relative "form" of a particle, wave and/or force, i.e. impression.

A virtual field describes a haven of symbolic potential veiled in the form of an integrated network of variables collectively merging as result of coherent resonance. ... its a conceptual field where awareness appears to merge and re-emerge by virtue of attraction and repulsion. If aware, distinct patterns may be revealed, referenced and connected creating an identifiable network we personally endorse as being consciousness.
Consciousness might be likened to a spiraling pool of energy, light and information emerging from within the conceptual depths of perpetual change.
The idea of there exists a virtual field of energy in light of its quantum presence, is fundamental in understanding its underlying character, quality and symbology. Individual likenesses of vibratory energy possess a certain magnitude that is proportional to the frequency/radiation it re-presents. Energy appears to present itself in the form of packages, bundles that together create fields of virtual/quantum energy characterized and qualified by the means used to observe them. Such fields of energy are in perpetual motion. Together can likewise be ascribed to the materialization of a wide array of patterns, forms and formulations seen and unseen. These configurations are theoretical in context, i.e. abstract ideas, suppositions or postulates that bring together a variety of conceptual and/or symbolic elements to awareness. It is upon this premise that the concept of there being a virtual field of energy supporting its quantum definition is founded.
Energy can be measured mathematically. These "measurements" like all transitory and transformative design impressions, are symbolic in expression. Individually distinct while simultaneously integrated, every attributable quality/pattern of vibratory energy can be revealed and made apparent as result of a design process created in correspondence with awareness.

Virtual fields of energy are conceptual in nature and context. Virtual fields of energy remain balanced until attracted about a focus provided by observation.
Virtual fields are subjective, self contained and internally created/established in order to bring balance to objective experiences and events having been observed and perceived within the parameters of one's own conscious field.
Virtual fields afford the portals needed to bring balance to our Earthly experiences.
Virtual fields configure energy into patterns that bring release to what is "experienced" in lower vibratory dimensions.
Virtual fields allow for the internalization and absorption of dimensions of energy not available to objective interpretation.
Virtual fields represent our dreams in real time. Virtual fields symbolically reveal that which lies at and within the borders of the unconscious. They represent an internal interpretation of that which cannot be purely expressed consciously. At first this realm/field of virtual origin appears to be hidden while contextually embracing all that is around you. That which your virtual field re-presents is a reflection of that which you are. It incorporates the very context in which you exercise your being. You do it symbolically. It could be described as consciousness, but it is deeper that that. It is the stuff that consciousness is made of.
Virtual fields act as an escape from the raw states of awareness often experienced at lower levels of vibration. The Universe is stratified and appropriately designed to allow for a freedom of motion (e-motion) by means of choice (duality). Motion infers progress by means of experience. Choice determines levels of progress, regression and balance. Reference to the context in which the design process begins is the choosing of its creator. How far and at what lengths these creative projections will be sustained lies within the context of every situation in which these events "materialize" or are made apparent.

The concept of experience implies that the idea of "categorization" will no longer be deemed necessary in the future unless needed. Categorization can lead to a slower response to change by blurring the edges. Higher and more expansive fields of consciousness re-present a more expansive, symbolic, morphic and responsive field of energy. Some would label this field as being spiritual in its context. There will come a time upon this planet that consciousness will no longer respond to sluggish, low vibratory exchanges of energy, light and information that bridle progress ... along with choices that venerate it.

Deeper understanding and compassion carries with it a greater sensitivity felt by resonating to the symbolic implications surrounding every situation. The concept of experience will gradually dissolve and merge within a greater understanding that time along with its partner conceptual space, is merely a categorization of a Reality no longer ill defined in the evolution of the planet/species/solar system/galaxy/universe.
Experiences gained by means of exercising a designed consciousness will begin to interpret every dimension merely as a contextual format in which the experiences of Life can be viewed, perceived, observed and contained. Time and space are concepts designed to guide the evolution of the species. Evolutionary progress is intimately related to the impressions and signals conveyed/shared between impulses/cycles of creative origin. Together these agents of consciousness will continue to participate in a universal dance of creation within an ever expanding field of virtual magnitude.
Experiences gained by means of exercising a designed consciousness will begin to interpret every dimension merely as a contextual format in which the experiences of Life can be viewed, perceived, observed and contained. Time and space are concepts designed to guide the evolution of the species. Since we cannot sense everything we still intuitively feel the causal connections between things in space and time. This circumstance implies that metaphysics must somehow be founded on something entirely imaginable. The problem is our minds are very good at imagining things that do not exist. This position has allowed for the implication that metaphysics has little impact upon "physical" reality, thus exacerbating the poor reputation surrounding its viability as a tool to be used in pursuit of a balanced consciousness.
So you see the problem of metaphysics is simple and profound - we must discover through our imagination the hidden connection, i.e. designs, between events, objects and experiences. To resolve this situation requires a quest into the true knowledge of physical reality such that we can understand the hidden causal connections that our senses, i.e. intuition, tell us must exist.

Conceptually, might not "virtual particles" be the dark matter and dark energy lying both chaotically fragmented and periodically patterned at the threshold of a quantum field of virtual potential and probability?
