DAC8 ... A Quantum Leap in Awareness?

A DAC8 Interpretation of Belief, Knowing, Energy in Motion, and the Evolution of Intelligence

Human consciousness does not appear to be a static thing, substance, or isolated faculty. It is better understood as an ongoing, dynamic process through which organisms integrate sensation, memory, prediction, emotion, belief, knowledge, and action into a continuously revised experience of reality. The phrase Energy in Motion (EIM) is central to the DAC8 model. Scientifically, however, the term must be carefully defined. DAC8 may be most defensibly presented as an integrative philosophical, semiotic, and systems-theoretical model for examining how observers transform potential into distinctions, distinctions into relationships, relationships into meanings, meanings into structures, and structures into new conditions of possibility.
